It’s a sense of emotional security that allows a person to be vulnerable and dependent, with absolute certainty that they will be accepted and protected with kindness.

“Amai!”: a typical Flemish expression that conveys pure wonder or intense emotion, like the feeling you get when you hold your newborn in your arms for the first time.
