Amae (Prototype)

“Amae” [甘え]: a Japanese concept that refers to the natural need to be loved, cherished and cared for unconditionally by a loved one. It is the sense of emotional security that allows a person to be vulnerable and dependent, with the absolute certainty that they will be accepted and protected with kindness.

“Amai!”: a typical Flemish expression of pure wonder or strong emotion like the experience when holding your newborn for the first time.
